AGC Policies

AGC Range Policies

All MRPC members and guests using the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore facility are responsible for following current AGC rules and the instructions of AGC Range Safety Officers.

Official AGC rules and Range Safety Officer instructions always take precedence over information published on the MRPC website.

Who May Shoot at AGC?

AGC is a membership range. Shooters generally fall into one of three categories:

  • AGC Range Badge holder
  • Guest of an AGC Range Badge holder
  • Authorized participant or guest at a club-sponsored event

MRPC-Sponsored Events

New AGC Club-Event Procedure

Every MRPC member and guest participating in an MRPC event at AGC must register electronically for that specific event on the day of the event.

All participants must:

  • Have their current MRPC Membership Card available
  • Wear and display their AGC Range Badge if they are an AGC member
  • Connect to the AGC Guest Wi-Fi
  • Open badge.agcrange.org
  • Select the MRPC event
  • Register individually

AGC badge holders register using their badge number.

Non-AGC participants must provide their name, complete and sign the AGC Waiver of Liability, return to the event page and complete registration.

Non-AGC participants currently pay a $5 club-event guest fee to the MRPC RSO.

Regular AGC Guests

The MRPC club-event procedure should not be confused with AGC’s normal guest policy.

For normal range use, AGC currently charges $20 per guest per day. A badge holder’s spouse and minors are currently free. AGC recommends limiting parties to no more than three guests.

The AGC badge holder is responsible for supervising personal guests throughout the visit.

Ammunition

AGC permits a wide variety of ammunition depending on the specific range.

Tracer, incendiary and explosive ammunition are prohibited.

Individual ranges may impose additional ammunition, firearm and target restrictions. Always verify the rules for the range you intend to use.

Range-Specific Rules

  • 100 Yard Barnes Range: Multipurpose range for authorized rifles, pistols, shotguns, muzzleloaders and other firearms.
  • 50 Yard Pistol Range: Restricted to pistol calibers and firearms with barrels under 10 inches.
  • 200 Yard Range: Targets are fired at 200 yards.
  • Action Shooting Bays: Reserved for organized events and not available for normal individual use.
  • Bay 7 Plinking Range: AGC Steel Certification is required.

Holster Use

AGC requires its Holster Certification before using a holster under circumstances covered by the AGC certification program. Shooters intending to use holsters should review the current AGC requirements before doing so.

Range Safety Officers

AGC ranges are supervised by Range Safety Officers. Shooters and guests must follow all commands and instructions issued by the RSO.

The RSO may restrict or stop shooting activity when weather, visibility, equipment, shooter conduct or other conditions create a safety concern.

When there is any difference between MRPC website information and current AGC requirements, follow AGC rules and the instructions of the AGC Range Safety Officer.

Official AGC Documents

AGC maintains the official Range Rules, Policies & Procedures Manual, target-frame information, range etiquette information and other current documents on its website.
